The Engine 22 Fire Station, located on North Kings Highway and Chelten Parkway, was built in 2005/2006 and was first staffed in the late spring of 2006. This new firehouse marked the first newly constructed firehouse in Cherry Hill in nearly 40 years. The site offered a location on the North Kings Highway corridor, long identified as a desirable strategic location for a balanced response across Cherry Hill.
Engine 22 houses a fire engine, relocated from the Erlton firehouse at Route 70 & Wesley, and one ambulance. Engine 22 & Ambulance 1392 are staffed 24 hours a day by Cherry Hill Firefighters and EMTs.
